What is LTTW?

LTTW is a sea turtle conservation project in Lang Tengah Island. The east coast of Peninsular Malaysia was a prolific breeding-ground for four species of turtle in 15 years ago ,but now only two remain – Hawksbill Turtle & Green Turtle. One of the factor that contributing to this decimation is human exploitation.

To ensure the migratory population of turtles are able to continue using the island as a breeding ground for generations to come, they need guardians to stop the poaching activity on Lang Tengah. You would able to watch a turtle laying eggs or hatchlings scampering down to the water’s edge are your rewards – sights rarely seen by most, and a real privilege to witness.
